Learning Brief for Promoting Opportunities for Women’s Economic Empowerment Project (POWER Africa)

The challenge

With a rich data set across two countries and a specific financial inclusion model CARE Canada wanted to know and share, “How is linkage working for women?”, in time for an international financial inclusion conference.

What we did

Picture Impact conducted rigorous meta-analysis of all programmatic monitoring, reporting, and evaluation data. We synthesized data to harvest learning on linkage—connecting VSLAs (voluntary savings and loans associations) and individuals to banking. This was transformed into a 12 page learning brief.

The results

The final showcase piece presents the model, provides key points and supporting data, alongside selected case studies and further questions for examination.
